Herman Miller, in collaboration with Van Collection, presents a limited-time pop-up space at Xijian Dream Center in Shanghai. From September 29 to October 25, 2026, the exhibition traces a series of classic furniture, archival narratives, and contemporary interior settings to explore how works born in the 20th century remain connected to a new generation of viewers.

In the mid-century modernism, it was more like a reimagining of everyday life: spaces and objects designed with care can change lifestyles. In this historical perspective, Herman Miller, along with visionaries like George Nelson, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, and Isamu Noguchi, turned bold ideas into designs that reshape daily life. These once experimental ideas, through chairs, tables, fabrics, and space systems, entered homes, offices, and public environments. They changed not only the appearance of objects but also people's perception of daily experiences and responded to the evolving needs of modern life.
