It is reported that the current industry standard JC/T 779-2010 Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Bathtub has been in operation for 16 years. With the rapid iteration of composite material technology, manufacturing processes, and consumer demand, many indicators and technical requirements in the existing standard have become outdated compared to market changes. Some content has become difficult to adapt to current products and usage scenarios, failing to fully cover the compliance determination needs of new products and new processes, and to some extent, restricting the progress of industry technology and quality improvement.
Under this background, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Fiber Reinforced Plastics organized the experts, inspection institutions, and backbone enterprises of the industry to hold this launch meeting to promote the "iteration and upgrade" of the standard.

Facing the profound changes in market environment and technological level over the past 16 years, revising the Composite Bathtub industry standard is both the objective need of industry development and the common responsibility of enterprises.

During the meeting, Secretary General Wang Zhandong of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Fiber Reinforced Plastics, experts from inspection institutions such as Anhui Provincial Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, Nanjing City Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, and Beijing Glass Fiber Institute Testing Center Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from enterprises such as Heida Bathroom, Zhuobiao Kitchen and Bathroom, Toto (China), Afifeling Bathroom, and Wantengmar Bathroom, engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as "establishing a standard preparation working group, discussing the division of labor and planning for standard development, and discussion of the standard draft." Participants shared professional insights based on their own research fields and practical experiences, and there was a lively exchange of ideas on the scene.
It was generally believed that the formulation of the new standard must keep pace with the market, and it must both standardize industry order and guide product innovation and quality improvement.
After the meeting, the guests visited the Heida Bathroom product exhibition hall and took a group photo, highly praising Heida's innovative achievements and manufacturing capabilities in the field of composite material bathroom products.

The launch of this meeting marks the official start of the revision work of the Composite Bathtub industry standard.
