On July 20th, at the 2026 China Board Material Industry Summit, Mr. Shu Bing, General Manager of PuriTe's Pressure Bonding Division, shared insights on technological iteration, new material applications, process innovation, intelligent transformation, and full-scenario adaptation in the board pressing field. Drawing from hands-on experience at the event, he focused on the innovative applications of paper materials, film materials, and paint materials as the three core materials. Relaying on the SCP short-cycle pressing line and the PUR flat pressing line as the two main production lines, he systematically explained the complete implementation path for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in pressing processes, domestic substitution, and digital transformation. This provided robust solutions for the intelligent upgrading, large-scale production, and international expansion of board manufacturing.
New Material Innovation Applications
Richen Pressing Process Categories and Decorative Textures
At this summit, PuriTe introduced the new application technologies for the three core materials: paper materials, film materials, and paint materials. These technologies have broken the limitations of traditional pressing materials, met the diversified production needs of board surfaces, and greatly improved product texture and quality stability.
In the paper material application field, PuriTe has successfully implemented mature applications of various high-end board paper materials, including melamine paper, CPL, EB paper, PP paper, and other mainstream functional and decorative paper materials. Tailored pressing processes are matched according to the material characteristics, bonding requirements, and wear and temperature resistance of different paper materials to perfectly match the decorative production of home and commercial use, as well as high-end customized board materials. These materials offer a balance of aesthetics, wear resistance, and scratch resistance.

The film materials have also completed a technological upgrade in parallel with the paper materials. On the film material side, innovative centrifugal film has been adopted to replace the traditional common steel plate pressing, eliminating the need for additional development of dedicated steel plates and significantly reducing production switching costs and complexity. The color uniformity and texture fullness of the board surface are significantly improved when the plain color off-type film is matched with melamine paper as backing paper for pressing. The process adaptability is strong, and the off-type film can be widely applied in various processes such as covering, vacuum forming, and flat pressing, forming a perfect complement with melamine faced boards, achieving integration of doors, walls, and cabinets.
The paint material side has abandoned the traditional high-cost and high-energy consumption processes, completing the product iteration upgrade of raw paint boards. It is equipped with a new light wave machine process that does not require nitrogen assistance during production and can also complete the natural wood grain effect that is seen but not painted.

Intelligent Function Deep Implementation
Drive Production Digitalization, Visualization, and Customization
PuriTe not only focuses on equipment automation upgrading but also deeply cultivates the construction of the production intelligent and digital system. Through AI intelligent recognition and visual system empowerment, the quality control and data management system of pressing production is reconstructed.
In the quality control process, the backward mode of traditional manual reduction and checking of boards is broken through, and a brand new AI identification sorting system is newly installed. High-definition cameras collect surface defect data of the boards in real-time, and after massive sample feeding training, the system can independently and accurately identify board defects and determine the product qualification level. Instructions are automatically issued to drive the PLC equipment to complete the full process of board picking, sorting, and sorting, achieving unmanned and standardized quality control, greatly improving the quality control efficiency and accuracy.

Meanwhile, the visual visualization system, automatic paper feeding, and other intelligent functions are配套 installed, which can capture, record, and store the process data of the entire production line. This solidifies the mature production process into standardized process formulas. It not only achieves controllable production process, traceable data, and reproducible technology, but also helps enterprises complete production digital sedimentation, promoting the transformation of pressing production from "experience production" to "data production."
For the current boom in the export of the board industry, as well as the market needs for large-size boards such as 79-inch, 612, 712, and large presses, PuriTe has launched differentiated and flexible full-scenario adaptation solutions covering various scenarios such as large board production, existing production line transformation, and new product category production.

The solution takes into account practicality and flexibility, introducing a modular flexible installation mode. Enterprises do not need to carry out overall transformation of the existing production line or make a large amount of investment. They can upgrade step by step according to their own production status: prioritizing the installation of visual detection systems to quickly improve the level of intelligent quality control; after the production conditions allow, additional equipment such as automated cutting machines and fully automatic vertical board sweeping machines can be installed to continuously reduce manual reliance and improve production accuracy.

The board pressing industry has officially entered a new intelligent manufacturing stage powered by new materials, high-precision control, less labor-intensive production, digital operation, and full-scenario adaptation. Mr. Shu Bing said that in the future, PuriTe will continue to deeply cultivate the innovative application of new materials such as paper materials, film materials, and paint materials, iteratively optimize the core production line technologies of SCP short-cycle and PUR flat pressing, and continuously improve intelligent, domesticated, and flexible pressing solutions. With technological innovation as the driver, the industry is expected to achieve quality improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency, helping domestic board enterprises to break through production bottlenecks and strengthen product competitiveness.
