Meike Home's Legal Issues: Overview and Implications Meike Home Announces 9 New Legal Cases in the Past 12 Months
On the evening of June 30th, Meike Home released an announcement stating that within the past twelve months, the company and its consolidated subsidiaries have accumulated a total of 9 new lawsuits and arbitration cases. The total amount involved in these cases is 18774.87 million yuan, approximately 1.88 billion yuan, accounting for 30.26% of the company's audited net assets as of 2025.
The announcement revealed that Meike Home is the defendant in all these cases, with the main cause of action being disputes over financial loan contracts. The largest series of cases came from the Urumqi High-tech Industrial Development Zone Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China Co., Ltd., which filed 4 lawsuits against the company and its controlling shareholder, Feng Dongming, totaling 1.31 billion yuan. These lawsuits were due to the company's failure to pay the principal and interest on time, with Feng Dongming being required to assume corresponding guarantee liabilities as a guarantor.
In addition, the Wuqing Branch of Tianjin Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit against the company's subsidiary, Meike International Furniture (Tianjin) Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and other entities, involving an amount of 470 million yuan. This was due to the subsidiary's failure to repay the principal and interest on time, with the company and other related parties being held liable as guarantors. The remaining cases, each below 1 million yuan, have a total amount of 974.87 million yuan. All these cases are currently at the first-instance stage and have not been finalized yet.
In the announcement, Meike Home stated that due to the uncertainty of the litigation outcomes, it is currently unable to predict the specific impact of these cases on the company's financial condition, current period profit, and post-period profit. The company will promptly fulfill its information disclosure obligations based on the progress of the litigation and remind all investors to invest rationally and pay attention to investment risks.
