Green Logistics: Ruitong Supply Chain's Commitment to Sustainability New Green Logistics Standards and Ruitong Supply Chain's Innovation

Starting from May 1st, the newly revised national standard “Green Logistics Indicator Composition and Accounting Method” led by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing has been officially implemented. This marks a new stage for the green transformation of the logistics industry, characterized by standard-driven development, technology-driven progress, and full-chain carbon reduction through collaborative efforts.

As one of the main drafters of the new standard, Ruitong Supply Chain, with a focus on green logistics for 26 years, has explored a sustainable development path that balances technology and efficiency. By constructing a comprehensive “three-in-one” green logistics ecosystem covering all elements, processes, and ecosystems, Ruitong integrates digitalization into all scenarios of supply chain logistics. The implementation of this national standard will not only continue to promote the development of Ruitong's green logistics but also accelerate Haier's exploration and practice of a platform service-oriented technological ecological enterprise.

In terms of “all elements,” Ruitong focuses on key resources such as warehousing facilities, intelligent equipment, and digital systems, creating a green logistics system that runs through all links of logistics. It has independently developed and implemented a digital management system covering the entire supply chain management process, invested in building the largest home appliance intelligent unstaffed warehousing cluster in the country, and widely applied intelligent equipment such as mobile robots and articulated robots. Through the digital twin system, it has achieved full-process unmanned collaboration in warehouse operations.

Among them, the Qingdao Jimo intelligent warehouse has achieved “black light operation,” with a storage utilization rate increased by more than 3 times, an increase of 50% in inventory and delivery efficiency, and an inventory accuracy rate of 100%, achieving zero product damage. Meanwhile, the rooftop photovoltaic project of the Foshan Ruitong logistics center warehouse generates an average of about 1.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which can reduce approximately 120 tons of carbon emissions each year. The combination of black light unstaffed warehouses and photovoltaic rooftop systems is a microcosm of Ruitong's advancement in upgrading green logistics infrastructure.

In the “full-process” aspect, Ruitong embeds the concept of green and low-carbon into business links such as transportation, distribution, and packaging. In terms of transportation, Ruitong explores the application of swap-and-drive heavy-duty trucks to promote the electrification of trunkline transportation and relies on digital scheduling, route optimization, and multimodal transportation to enhance transportation organization efficiency and reduce unnecessary turns and energy waste.

In the “full-ecosystem” aspect, Ruitong collaborates with customers, suppliers, parks, and industry organizations to promote green development from the internal aspects of the enterprise to the upstream and downstream of the industry chain. At the same time, Ruitong actively participates in the formulation of national and industry standards, continuously outputting replicable and promotable green logistics experience practices.
