Recently, the Chedaogou Old Neighborhood Renovation Project constructed by the Beijing Branch of China State Construction Engineering Corporation's Third Bureau has reached a key milestone: the external scaffolding of the buildings has been completely removed, the building energy-saving renovation has been successfully completed, and the new look of the community is初步呈现, signaling the imminent arrival of the residents' "new" life.

Renovation progress of the Chedaogou Old Neighborhood

The project is located in Haidian District, Beijing, with a building area of 143,300 square meters, including 19 residential buildings and 1 commercial building. The construction includes the main structure and建筑装饰装修, roof, intelligent building, energy-saving projects, etc. After completion, it will improve the city's appearance, enhance the overall image, improve community facilities, meet diverse needs, drive related industries, boost economic growth, and promote the organic renewal of the city.

Project overview

The project is guided by the residents' needs, establishing a resident coordination service center, setting up a project renovation effect sand table, information display board, physical sample display area, and material sample display area, allowing residents to directly understand the pipes, valves, floor drains, and exterior wall renovation process and construction materials. The co-construction and co-governance discussion platform app is promoted, allowing residents to scan the code to provide feedback through the app, achieving responses in the early stage, tracking during the process, and ensuring that every issue is addressed. The roof waterproofing project uses LEAC acrylic polymer cement waterproofing paint, which belongs to the special acrylic ester modified cement technology system. The painting process is used, and the construction process does not require any firework, avoiding safety risks such as firework operations during the waterproofing construction of old neighborhood renovations. It combines the convenience and safety of construction. Temporary water, electricity, and drainage facilities are reasonably set up during the construction process to ensure the basic living needs of the residents. Warning signs are set up in the construction area to ensure the safety of residents' travel; scientific construction plans are formulated to avoid noise-intensive operations during the night or rest time, minimizing the impact on residents' lives while ensuring construction safety and quality, and smoothly carrying out on-site construction.

Safety and quality in construction

Since the project began, it has faced multiple challenges such as tight construction schedules, narrow construction sites, and complex basic conditions in the community.

With scientific planning and overcoming difficulties, the project completed all the energy-saving renovation tasks for all single buildings in just 105 days. It not only won high recognition from the construction unit but also received praise letters and numerous banners from the owner units and residents for effectively addressing some of the owners' long-standing concerns.
