Li Jianming: Art and design are intertwined for me. Sculpture has given me a sensitivity to space and form, while architectural planning allows me to turn this sensitivity into practice. At Shan Yin Design Group, we always pursue the vision of 'art empowering space, design activating the countryside,' making every piece of work a bridge between culture and nature.
Journalist: In 2022, you won the MUSE International Design Award in the United States and the China Design Annual Figure Elite Designer Award. What do these honors mean to you and your team?
Li Jianming: These awards are a recognition of our team's innovative capabilities. The MUSE Award emphasizes international perspective and innovation, while the China Design Annual Figure Award focuses more on local practice and social value. They inspire us to continuously break through, integrate Chinese traditional culture with modern design concepts, and create more influential works.
Journalist: Your representative works include 'village operations' and the 'cangcafe' and 'boutique hotels' brand series. Could you introduce the design concepts of these projects in detail?

Journalist: From these works, we can see your deep affection for the countryside. What are Shan Yin Design Group's plans for the future in the field of rural revitalization?
Li Jianming: We will continue to delve into the countryside, exploring a fusion model of 'design + industry + culture.' For example, we plan to create more 'cangcafe' and boutique hotels in more regions, combining local characteristic agricultural products to develop cultural and creative products, forming a complete industrial chain. In addition, we will strengthen cooperation with universities and institutions to promote the cultivation of rural design talents.
Journalist: Finally, what advice do you have for young designers?
Li Jianming: Maintain curiosity and be brave in crossing boundaries. Rural design requires comprehensive capabilities, understanding both architecture and landscape as well as culture and industry.
